TRUMBAUERSVILLE, PA, November 4, 2021- The Silvene Bracalente Memorial Foundation (SBMF) held its Seventh Annual Sporting Clay Shoot & Fundraiser on October 30, 2021 raising more than $55,000 to support manufacturing trade organizations in the Lehigh Valley.

Each year at the event, the Foundation presents a local trade organization with a donation from funds raised throughout the year. This year, guest of honor, Pedro Rivera, President of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology was presented with a $7,500 check from the Foundation. “Our soul purpose is to find livable ways for underprivileged youth to have a pathway to gainful, sustainable wages,” President Rivera said when speaking of the goals of the College. The donation is given to Thaddeus Stevens for use towards new equipment, training materials or financial assistance for students.

Rivera continued, “I want to thank Ron [Bracalente] for not only his support for the manufacturing trade but for his leadership in this space. The work he is doing supports our communities by providing employment for local workers.” Employing 140 workers at their plant in Trumbauersville, PA, Bracalente Manufacturing Group (BMG) is celebrating 70+ years in the area and continues to grow.

“With the donations raised through the Foundation, we are able to support young people looking to begin a career in manufacturing,” says Ron Bracalente, CEO of BMG and founder of SBMF. “Choosing a trade career path needs to be a viable option as our kids become adults and begin their careers. The critical shortage of skilled employees we are all facing today just increases the urgency to act now. We are honored to partner with Thaddeus Stevens as well as other local trade educators and organizations to raise awareness and funds for the future of manufacturing,” he states.

Donations to SBMF are accepted year-round. Please contact Bracalente Manufacturing Group for more information on how you can support the Foundation.
